PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod in which aeolotropic flexural rigidity of a rod body ascribed to spine formed by winding a bias sheet is eased in a tip.SOLUTION: A fishing rod according to an embodiment of the invention comprises a rod-like core member formed in a tapered shape, a first bias layer sheet wound N1 ply (N1 is arbitrary natural number) at a distal end side of the core member and a second bias layer sheet wound N2 ply (N2 is arbitrary natural number smaller than N1) on the core member such that a distal end of the second bias layer sheet overlays a rear end of the first bias layer sheet.
