The present invention relates to a U-shaped multi-purpose container used as a flower stand, a fish bowl, a display stand, etc. The U-shaped multi-purpose container comprises: a container body including a flat plate having a U shape for forming an accommodating space and being bendable, flat iron members bent in a U shape outside both side ends of the flat plate to be in close contact therewith and configured to support a load, a rectangular fixing frame configured to fix the flat plate and the flat iron members while restricting a clearance between the flat plate and the flat iron members which are bent in the U shape and a support configured to fix a plurality of container bodies with side blocking plates inserted into both sides of the U-shaped cross section of the flat plate. The container body is formed by coupling the flat plate, the fixing frame, and the support to one another with fixing bolts corresponding to fastening holes formed on both side ends of the flat plate, fastening holes of the fixing frame, and fastening holes of the support, or welding the flat plate, the fixing frame, and the support without fastening holes.
