Described herein, an anhydrous cosmetic composition includes a first water-absorbing component having a water vapor sorption greater than about 20 g per 100 g of the first water-absorbing component according to the Water Vapor Sorption Test Method as disclosed herein； a second water-absorbing component having a water vapor sorption from about 8.5 to about 19.9 g per 100 g of the second water-absorbing component according to the Water Vapor Sorption Test Method as disclosed herein； a malodour-controlling component； a cosmetically acceptable carrier； and wherein the anhydrous cosmetic composition is essentially free of aluminum-based antiperspirant actives.
