The present process discloses a procedure of producing grates from breadfruit Artocarpus altilis, Fosb. The process includes the harvesting of mature breadfruit fruits, peeling of breadfruit fruits, cutting of peeled breadfruit into chunks, washing the chunks with water, grating of washed breadfruit chunks, drying of breadfruit grates for 2-3 days until about 70 pcnt of its weight is lost compared to fresh grates, and packing and sealing of grates for storage and future use in making various food products.
