PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for oral cavity, which is excellent in inhibitory effect of deposition of bacteria causing periodontal diseases onto a tooth plane and is favorable in terms of general characteristics such as impression from use, and a deposition inhibitor of bacteria causing periodontal diseases onto a tooth plane.SOLUTION: The composition for oral cavity comprises (A) propylene glycol alginate and (B) at least one polymer compound chosen from polyvinylpyrrolidone, methyl vinyl ether maleic anhydride copolymer and pullulan, wherein the mass ratio of component (B) to component (A) is 0.05-50.
