An instrument for assembling an implant on a neck. The implant and neck being coupled via a taper having a taper axis. The instrument includes a frame having a distal portion and a proximal portion, the distal portion of the frame including a retaining member adapted to engage a portion of the neck. The instrument also includes a force applier retained in the proximal portion of the frame. The force applier includes a screw having a screw axis that is coaxial with the taper axis, wherein the screw is adapted to engage the implant. As the screw is turned, the force applier applies a force on the implant while the neck is held in place by the frame, thereby causing the tapers of the implant and neck to engage.La présente invention concerne un instrument permettant d'assembler un implant sur un col. L'implant et le col sont couplés par l'intermédiaire d'un bord en biseau ayant un axe en biseau. L'instrument comprend un cadre ayant une partie distale et une partie proximale, la partie distale du cadre comprenant un élément de retenue conçu pour venir en prise avec une partie du col. L'instrument comprend également un applicateur de force retenu dans la partie proximale du cadre. L'applicateur de force comprend une vis ayant un axe de vis qui est coaxial avec l'axe en biseau, la vis étant conçue pour venir en prise avec l'implant. Pendant la rotation de la vis, l'applicateur de force applique une force sur l'implant tandis que le col est maintenu en place par le cadre, ce qui permet ainsi de mettre en prise les bords en biseau de l'implant et du col.
