PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent deployment device that is curved in a three-dimensional space to minimize thrombosis and platelet adhesion.SOLUTION: A stent deployment device includes an elongate catheter shaft 2 and an inflatable balloon 3. The balloon 3 is movable between a collapsed configuration and an expanded configuration. In the expanded configuration, a part of a longitudinal axis of the balloon 3 is curved in a three-dimensional space, and a part of the balloon 3 is helically shaped. A stent 6 is movable from a collapsed delivery configuration to a partially expanded intermediate configuration, and substantially from the intermediate configuration to a fully expanded deployed configuration. In the delivery configuration, a longitudinal axis of the stent 6 is straight. In the intermediate configuration, the longitudinal axis of the stent 6 may be straight or curved in the three-dimensional space. The balloon 3 in the expanded configuration exerts force on the stent 6. In the deployed configuration, the stent 6 in turn exerts force on an internal wall of a blood vessel 5 to curve a longitudinal axis of the blood vessel 5 in the three-dimensional space.【課題】血栓や血小板粘着を最少化するため、3次元空間で曲がっているステント配置器具を提供する。【解決手段】ステント配置器具は、細長いカテーテルシャフト2と膨張式バルーン3を備える。バルーン3は、つぶれた形態と膨張した形態の間で可動であり、膨張した形態では、バルーン3の長手軸の一部は、3次元空間で曲がり、バルーン3の一部は螺旋形状とされる。ステント6はつぶれた搬送形態から部分的に拡張した中間形態に、実質的に中間形態から完全に拡張した配置形態に可動である。搬送形態では、ステント6の長手軸は直線である。ステント6の長手軸は、中間形態では直線または3次元空間で曲がっていてもよい。膨張した形態のバルーン3はステント6に力を及ぼす。配置形態では、次にステント6は血管5の内膜に力を及ぼし、血管5の長手軸を3次元空間で曲げる。【選択図】図8
