PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a working machine for a head-forming vegetable capable of easily fastening the head of the head-forming vegetable by strongly squeezing outer leaves at the position of head of the head-forming vegetable. SOLUTION: A machine body 1 has a running unit 2 on its lower part and a working unit 6 on its upper part. The working part 6 has a rising-squeezing means 75 which squeezes outer leaves by rising from a position intruded below the hung-down outer-leaves of a head-forming vegetable A and moving toward the center of the head-forming vegetable A while bringing outer leaves from a falling-down state to a rising-up state. The rising-squeezing means 75 has outer leaf-pushing bodies 69 attached on the front ends of a pair of right and left elevating arms 36. An outer leaf-pushing body 69 comprises a circular roller- fitting shaft 70 and plural cylindrical roller pieces 71 which are fitted on the roller-fitting shaft 70 adjacent to each other in a freely rotatable manner.
