PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic water supply device for automatically performing water level adjustment for a rice field in order to exclude troublesomeness and save labor of work, in view of the fact that a cultivator makes the rounds every hour every day according to the weather and a growth condition in agricultural work, and opens and closes a valve installed on an irrigation canal so as to perform water supply and water level adjustment for a rice field, but such work requires much labor. SOLUTION: This automatic water supply device is fabricated setting up in a rice field, an automatic waterer which is provided with an intake chamber made of a box provided with an opening for taking water from an irrigation canal on the rear side, an opening for supplying rainwater to the rice field on the front, and a liftable gate on the opening of the front, and is connected with an operation float chamber provided inside with an operation float as means for lifting the gate, on the outside of the intake chamber, and also a water level detector for detecting the water level of the rice field. The device includes lifting and lowering the gate through a means of lifting the gate by signal from the water level detector so as to adjust the water level of the rice field.
