PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI apparatus that enables a head region of a patient to be measured.SOLUTION: A closed-type opening 7 for a patient of an MRI apparatus 1 includes a first inner diameter 9 perpendicular to a central axis 12 of the MRI apparatus 1 in a first region 8, and includes a second inner diameter 11 disposed in parallel to the first inner diameter 9 in a second region 10. The first inner diameter 9 is smaller than the second inner diameter 11, the first region 8 includes a head region 2 of the patient at least partially, and the second region 10 includes a torso region 14 of the patient at least partially.
