PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for a young plant, etc., in which seedlings of trees such as the young plant or a young tree are prevented from being eaten by wild animals such as a deer, a rabbit, a wild boar and a mouse, the protective device for the young plant, etc., having shape retention which does not apply a load on the seedlings even in weighting of snow, and further facilitating formation in a work site while facilitating carrying.SOLUTION: A protective device I for a young plant etc. has a protective net 1 having meshes and a vertical cylindrical or substantially truncated cone shape, and a support material 2 spirally fixed to the protective net.
