A method for separating a plant stem cell line derived from a cambium of herbaceous plant comprises the following steps of: preparing a cambium contained storage root tissue of a herbaceous plant cultivating the cambium contained storage root tissue in a culture medium including IAA(Indole-3-acetic acid) or IBA(Indole-3-butyric acid) to induce the plant stem cell line derived from a cambium of herbaceous plant and collecting the induced plant stem cell line.본 발명은 저장근을 가지는 초본식물의 형성층 유래 세포주 및 이의 분리방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 저장근을 가지는 초본식물의 형성층 함유 저장근 조직에서 별도의 탈분화 과정 없이 수득되는 것을 특징으로 하는 분열능을 갖는 동질적인 형성층 유래 세포주 및 이의 분리방법에 관한 것이다.본 발명에 따른 저장근을 가지는 초본식물의 형성층 유래 세포주는 활발한 분열능을 가지며 동질적인 세포주로서, 탈분화과정을 거치지 않아 배양 시 안정적이다. 이에 이의 증식을 최적화함으로써 세포주를 짧은 시간 내에 대량 증식시킬 수 있게 된다. 따라서, 본 발명에 따른 저장근을 가지는 초본식물의 형성층 유래 세포주는 경작 기간, 경작지 선정, 경작 비용 등의 여러 가지 문제로 인해 노지에서는 배양이 어려운 유용 식물체를 대량으로 생산할 수 있게 한다.
