PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar cell panel housing and an automatic opening/closing apparatus for a water supply plug, which allow a solar cell panel to be disposed in an arbitrary orientation and allow the drainage performance of a solar cell to be improved.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an automatic opening/closing apparatus for a water supply plug that includes a solar cell panel 5 for generating electric energy for driving a driving mechanism for a water supply plug of a spindle, and a solar cell panel housing 21 for housing the solar cell panel 5 such that a light-receiving surface 5p is kept in a horizontal position. The solar cell panel housing 21 comprises an inner frame 25, which holds the solar cell panel 5 from below so as to be able to stop water, an outer frame 27, which is provided outside the inner frame 25, a lower case 23 in which a water passage groove 29 is formed between the inner frame 25 and the outer frame 27, and an upper case 41 that holds the outer peripheral edge of the solar cell from above and is attached to the outer frame 29 of the lower case 23. Here, a water passage 45 is formed between the upper case 41 and the outer peripheral edge of the solar cell to communicate with the water passage groove 29.
