Use of (2S)-2-aminopentanoic acid for treating seborrhea, is claimed. An independent claim is included for an antiseborrhoeic composition comprising the (2S)-2-aminopentanoic acid and a support. The ability of (2S)-2-aminopentanoic acid to inhibit the expression of 5 alpha-reductase type I was tested in dermal papilla cell.
