The present invention provides a method for fabricating hyaluronan hydrogel particles and their use of articular cartilage defect repair. The method for fabricating hyaluronan hydrogel particles comprises: (a) reacting hyaluronic acid and methacrylic anhydride to synthesize methacrylated hyaluronan conjugates； (b) mixing the methacrylated hyaluronan conjugates with a photoinitiator, photopolymerizing with ultraviolet light to obtain a hyaluronan hydrogel； (c) pressing the hyaluronan hydrogel through a mesh to obtain the hyaluronan hydrogel particles.本發明提供一種玻尿酸水膠微粒的製備方法及其修復關節軟骨缺損的用途。該玻尿酸水膠微粒的製備方法包含：(a)將玻尿酸與甲基丙烯酸酐反應合成甲基丙烯酸酯化玻尿酸共軛物；(b)將該甲基丙烯酸酯化玻尿酸共軛物與一光起始劑混合，照射紫外光進行光聚合反應以得到一玻尿酸水膠；及(c)將該玻尿酸水膠擠壓通過一篩網以得到該玻尿酸水膠微粒。
