This invention relates to the use of 4-methyl-8-phenoxy-1-(2-phenylethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof in combination with another antimicrobial agent selected from the group consisting of a beta-lactam antimicrobial agent, mupirocin and chlorhexidine or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative thereof, for the prevention and/or treatment of microbial infections.本発明は、微生物感染の予防および/または治療のための、β-ラクタム系抗微生物剤、ムピロシンおよびクロルヘキシジンまたはそれらの製薬上許容し得る誘導体からなる群から選択される別の抗微生物剤と組み合わせた4-メチル-8-フェノキシ-1-(2-フェニルエチル)-2,3-ジヒドロ-1H-ピロロ[3,2-c]キノリンまたはその製薬上許容し得る誘導体の使用に関するものである。
