The holder (105) is configured to hold the locking plate (103) above the bone (102) for enabling to make required movement of locking plate (103) in horizontal direction. Accordingly, fastening the compression unit (401) using a non-locking screw (411) to the plate (103) converts the vertical movement of head-screw into horizontal movement of connecting rod (408) of the compression unit (401), thereby enabling to move the plate (103) along with one end of fractured bone (102) towards the fractured site (110) thus producing compression between the fractured bones (102).
