The disclosure provides a composition for activating of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase of an individual. The composition includes an effective amount of plant extraction. The plant extraction is a grain extraction, a lotus seed extraction, or a peel extraction of Rutaceae plant. The disclosure further provides a use of the plant extraction for manufacturing the composition for activating of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase of the individual. The application of the composition and the use of the present invention are advantageous for activating of acetaldehyde dehydrogenase of the individual.本發明揭露一種用於活化個體中的乙醛去氫酶的組合物，其包括有效劑量的植物萃取物，植物萃取物係為麥類穀物萃取物、蓮子萃取物、或芸香科植物果皮萃取物。本發明另揭露一種植物萃取物用於製備活化個體中的乙醛去氫酶的組合物的用途。利用本發明之用途及組合物，可有效的活化個體中的乙醛去氫酶。
