A camera system (1) for monitoring the inside of a body is provided with: a camera support tube (13), one end part (13a) of which is inserted into the body a camera unit (11) which joins with the camera support tube inside the body a camera-side cable (12) which is connected to the camera unit and which is drawn out of the body by passing through the camera support tube a control system (3) which at least contains a display (18) and a string-like member (38) which directly or indirectly secures the camera support tube to the surface of the body.
