PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a foot switch itself generate electric power for operating the foot switch.SOLUTION: This foot switch includes a first piezoelectric element and a second piezoelectric element disposed oppositely to each other, a pedal member, an elastic member, and a switch. The pedal member can move between the first piezoelectric element and the second piezoelectric element. The elastic member energizes the pedal member toward the second piezoelectric element. The switch turns on by stepping-on of the pedal member, and turns off by releasing of the pedal member. The first piezoelectric element is pressed by at least one of the pedal member and the elastic member when the pedal member is stepped on to generate the electric power. The second piezoelectric element is pressed by the pedal member by the energizing when the pedal member is released to generate the electric power.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】フットスイッチを動作させるための電力を、フットスイッチ自身に発電させる。【解決手段】互いに対向するように配置された第1の圧電素子及び第2の圧電素子と、ペダル部材と、弾性部材と、スイッチと、を備えたフットスイッチである。ペダル部材は、第1の圧電素子と第2の圧電素子との間を移動可能に構成されている。弾性部材は、ペダル部材を、第2の圧電素子に向けて付勢する。スイッチは、ペダル部材が踏み込まれることでONとなり、ペダル部材が開放されることでOFFとなる。また、ペダル部材が踏み込まれたときに、ペダル部材及び弾性部材の少なくともいずれかにより第1の圧電素子を押圧することで電力を発生させる。また、ペダル部材が開放されたときに、付勢によりペダル部材で第2の圧電素子を押圧することで電力を発生させる。【選択図】図2A
