PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluoroscopic image equivalent to a fluoroscopic image by conventional X-ray fluoroscopy in an X-ray diagnostic apparatus while reducing exposure on a patient as compared with the conventional X-ray fluoroscopy.SOLUTION: An X-ray diagnostic apparatus includes: an X-ray generation part for generating an X-ray; an X-ray detection part which has a first detection part for detecting the X-ray transmitting a subject, and a second detection part whose detection element size is smaller than that of the first detection part for detecting the X-ray transmitting the subject, the first detection part and the second detection part being superposed with respect to an X-ray irradiation direction; an image generation part for generating data on a first X-ray image of the subject based on the output from the first detection part, and generating data on a second X-ray image of the subject based on the output from the second detection part; an image processing part for generating a superimposition image of the subject based on the first X-ray image and the second X-ray image; and a display part for displaying the superimposition image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
