PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rope fitting tool for toppling a columnar body which can overcome a conventional defect that a plane surface surrounded and formed by an arc shaped pinching part is perpendicular to an operation pole, in which the arc shaped pinching part easily pinches a trunk of a tree, and on which a rope can be easily hooked.SOLUTION: A guide rope fitting tool for toppling a columnar body comprises: a pole which secures a required length a pinching part which surrounds and sandwiches a pillar wood such as a column and a tree by a pinching action ropes which removably run along sides of the pinching parts facing each other coupling tools which are provided at both tips of the ropes, and which are coupled each other to connect both ropes to each other when the pinching parts facing each other are contacted and operation means which can drive at least one of pinching action of the pinching part, coupling action of the coupling tool, and removing action removing the rope and the coupling tool from the pinching part by use of a hand operation tool different from a drive by a pulling rope operation to fell the pillar wood on the hand side of the pole.
