PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active shield type gradient magnetic field coil for a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus preventing the crossover and interference of connection sections for connecting X and Y gradient magnetic field coils to parts of conductors of the respective shield coils.
SOLUTION: The position of a farthest connection conductor terminal Pn viewed from the Y axis out of a plurality of connection conductor terminals P
1 -Pn provided in the respective outer circumferential parts of an X-axis main gradient magnetic field coil and a shield coil and connecting the X-axis main gradient magnetic field coil and a part of a pattern conductor of the X-axis shield coil to each other is provided in a position not exceeding 45°-&gamma/2 measured from the Y axis (&gamma is an angle equivalent to a circumferential insulation distance of the X-axis and Y-axis gradient magnetic field coils), and the position of a farthest connection conductor terminal Pn viewed from the X axis out of a plurality of connection conductor terminals P1 -Pn provided in the respective outer circumferential parts of a Y-axis main gradient magnetic field coil and a shield coil and connecting the Y-axis main gradient magnetic field coil and a part of a pattern conductor of the shield coil to each other is provided in a position not exceeding 45°-&gamma/2 measured from the X axis.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
