The present invention relates to a support assembly for an evaporative cooling pad, which is easily assembled and installed and to an assembling method thereof. According the present invention, the support assembly for the evaporative cooling pad comprises: an upper cover longitudinally covering the whole of the upper end part of the cooling pad a hanger arranged and fixed at regular intervals under the upper side of the upper cover, and having an opening part formed on the lower part a water supply pipe placed and fixed through the opening part of the lower part of the hanger to be mounted and fixed on the inner space of the upper cover, and having outlets formed at regular intervals on the upper part and a U-shaped lower gutter mounted on the lower end part of the cooling pad and collecting and discharging water which naturally falls.
