The invention relates to the use of azithromycin for the industrial manufacture of a medicament for treating ocular infections, essentially consisting of azithromycin in solution in a pharmaceutically acceptable vehicle of medium－chain fatty acid triglycerides, at the concentration of 1% to 2%, for topical application twice a day in each eye to be treated, for less than four days.本發明係有關阿齊黴素(azithromycin)於工業上製造治療眼感染之醫藥品的用途，該醫藥品基本上由阿齊黴素所組成，濃度係1%至2%，呈於醫藥上可接受之中鏈脂肪酸三甘油酯賦形劑的溶液，用於每天兩次局部施藥於欲治療之各眼，施藥期少於4天。
