PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscopic examination supporting system improving the efficiency in endoscopic examination at a low cost.SOLUTION: A storage part 28 stores data on an endoscopic image of a lesion. A setting part 18 sets a plurality of view-point positions within a prescribed area on volume data on a luminal object having the lesion. A generating part 20 generates data on a plurality of virtual endoscopic images from the volume data based on the plurality of set view-point positions. A similarity degree computing part 32 computes a plurality of degrees of similarity between the respective plurality of generated virtual endoscopic images and the endoscopic image. A display part 38 displays a specific virtual endoscopic image having a specific similarity degree among the computed plurality of degrees of similarity and the endoscopic image side by side. A display control part 36 controls the display part 38 to emphatically display a partial area on the endoscopic image corresponding to a lesion area on the specific virtual endoscopic image if the lesion area is included in the specific virtual endoscopic image.
