PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-running type endoscope in which a quick movement is possible with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A self-running type endoscope 3 comprises: a tip end part 11 a self-running mechanism unit 20 and an insertion part 12. The self-running mechanism unit 20 comprises a holding unit 30A that has: a front pipe 33A that has a foam fluorine tube body 33, which has a gap enabling ventilation of an interior surface side and an exterior surface side, is freely deformable and is set to a predetermined length, an expansion unit 31A that is slidably arranged on an outer peripheral surface of the foam fluorine tube body 33, and is formed to be freely expandable with a plurality of slits 31s provided along a center axis a bellows 32A that is arranged on the exterior surface of the foam fluorine tube body 33, foldable in a center axis direction and has an air leakage prevented and a holding space S1 to which air is supplied via a connection tube 61b.
