Described herein are compositions and methods for the treatment of contact lens discomfort (CLD) and/or lid wiper epitheliopathy (LWE). Such compositions comprise keratolytic agents, such as salicylic acid, selenium disulfide, or the like. Topical administration of such compositions to the inner surface of the eyelid provides therapeutic benefit to patients suffering from contact lens discomfort (CLD) and/or lid wiper epitheliopathy (LWE).L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés pour le traitement d'inconfort des lentilles de contact (ILC) et/ou de l'épithéliopathie de la conjonctive palpébrale (LWE). Lesdites compositions et procédés comportent des agents kératolytiques, tels que l'acide salicylique, le disulfure de sélénium, ou analogues. L'administration topique de telles compositions à la surface interne de la paupière fournit un bienfait thérapeutique à des patients souffrant d'inconfort des lentilles de contact (ILC) et/ou d'épithéliopathie de la conjonctive palpébrale (LWE).
