A planter includes a base including a raised portion to form a channel beneaththebase. At least one substantially vertical planter sidewall is formed with thebase. At leastone drain post is integrally formed on the base and extending substantiallyverticallyupwards with a drain opening at the top of each of the at least one drain postincommunication with the channel. The planter includes a removable riser. Theremovableriser includes a plate supported by a plurality of hollow support columnswherein the hollowsupport columns are longer than the at least one drain post forming areservoir beneath theplate. The hollow support columns each include at least one opening in acolumn sidewall.
