There is provided a method of estimating a location and/or orientation of a handheld personal care device with respect to a user of the handheld personal care device. The method includes obtaining measurements of a posture of a part of the body of the user as the user uses the handheld personal care device. The method also includes using the measurements to estimate the location and/or orientation of the handheld personal care device with respect to the user during use of the handheld personal care device based on a predetermined relationship between the location and/or orientation of the handheld personal care device with respect to the user and, exclusively, the posture of the part of the body of the user. A personal care system and a machine-readable medium are also disclosed.L'invention concerne un procédé d'estimation d'un emplacement et/ou d'une orientation d'un dispositif de soins personnels portatif par rapport à un utilisateur du dispositif de soins personnels portatif. Le procédé consiste à obtenir des mesures d'une posture d'une partie du corps de l'utilisateur lorsque l'utilisateur utilise le dispositif de soins personnels portatif. Le procédé consiste également à utiliser des mesures en vue d'estimer l'emplacement et/ou l'orientation du dispositif de soins personnels portatif par rapport à l'utilisateur pendant l'utilisation du dispositif de soins personnels portatif sur la base d'une relation prédéterminée entre l'emplacement et/ou l'orientation du dispositif de soins personnels portatif par rapport à l'utilisateur et, exclusivement, la posture de la partie du corps de l'utilisateur. L'invention concerne également un système de soins personnels et un support lisible par machine.
