PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple means which supplies electric power to a portable digital X-ray detector.SOLUTION: In several embodiments, a system in which a portable radio digital X-ray detector contains a battery electrically coupled to at least one external electrical conductor, a method, and an instrument are provided. In several embodiments, the external electrical conductor is mounted on the outside of a housing of the portable radio digital X-ray detector at an equal height. In several embodiments, the external electrical conductor plate includes only a hypoallergenic material. In several embodiments, the battery is fixedly mounted on the portable radio digital X-ray detector.
