It comprises a first tube (11) comprising a lumen (12) and being designed to carry an expandable vascular implant, a sheath (15) designed to be disposed over and holding the vascular implant (20) in a compressed state, an engaging element (33) for engaging with a proximal end (22) of the vascular implant in its loaded state, a tip (13), being fixedly connected to the first tube (11) at a distal end of the first tube (11), and a spring mounted plug element (29) being slidably mounted over the first tube (11).
