Protection assembly for a syringe, notably a dental syringe, including a syringe body, said protection assembly being disposable and including a cannula (10) made of an elastically rigid material comprising a base (16) to be fixed on the syringe body, and a sheath (12) made of a flexible material formed by two flat parallel walls (18a, 18b) which loosely covers said syringe body, said sheath being fixed to said cannula adjacent to said base, wherein fixing cannot be reversed.
