PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water faucet which reliably maintains initial water power when performing opening operation and does not require the repeated opening operation.SOLUTION: In the water faucet comprising a valve seat disposed in the middle of a flow channel and a valve body for closing and opening the valve seat, the valve seat comprises a flow valve hole and a valve seat projecting edge formed by projecting to flow-out side periphery of the flow valve hole. The valve body comprises a press-contact water stop part of an elastic material which is freely press-contacted to the valve seat projecting edge and a slide-touch water stop part which freely slides to touch an inner surface of the flow valve hole by projecting from the press-contact water stop part. In a water stop state, the valve seat projecting edge caves in the press-contact water stop part of the seat body and the slide-touch water stop part of the valve body slides to touch the inner surface of the flow valve hole to stop water. When performing the opening operation, the water stop state in the press-contact water stop part of the valve body is canceled more quickly than that in the slide-touch water stop part and a gap area between the press-contact water stop part and the valve seat projecting edge becomes wider than that between the slide-touch water stop part and the inner surface of the water flow valve hole even when the caved-in part of the press-contact water stop part is restored.COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT【課題】開放操作時における当初の水勢を確実に維持すると共に、再度の開放操作を不要とした水栓を提供すること。【解決手段】流水路の中途に配設した弁座と、弁座を止水及び開放する弁体と、よりなる水栓において、弁座は、流水弁孔と、流水弁孔の流出側周縁に突出形成した弁座突縁と、より構成し、弁体は、弁座突縁に圧接自在とした弾性素材の圧接止水部と、圧接止水部より突出して流水弁孔の内周面に摺接自在とした摺接止水部と、より構成し、止水状態においては、弁座突縁が弁体の圧接止水部に陥没すると共に、弁体の摺接止水部が弁座の流水弁孔の内周面に摺接してそれぞれ止水を行うべく構成し、開放操作時においては、弁体の圧接止水部が摺接止水部より先に止水状態が解除され、かつ、圧接止水部と弁座突縁との間隙面積を、圧接止水部の陥没した部分が復元されたとしても、摺接止水部と流水弁孔の内周面との間隙面積よりも広くなるよう構成した。【選択図】図2
