The present invention relates to an animal model for hepatic diseases, in which the Ssu72 gene is specifically suppressed in the liver, a method for breeding the animal models, and a screening method for therapeutic agents for preventing or treating hepatic diseases, comprising the steps of screening a material that can increase the mRNA level of the Ssu72 gene or the protein level expressed therefrom in the animal model.
