Vesicular stomatitis virus-lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus-glycoprotein (VSV-LCMV-GP) pseudotyped vector comprising a gene encoding for a GP of the LCMV and no functional gene for an envelope protein G of the VSV, is new. Independent claims are included for: (1) a VSV-LCMV-GP pseudotyped vector system comprising at least two complementing, replicating-VSV vectors, which contain genes of n, l, p and m encoding for N-, L-, P- and matrix (M)-protein of the VSV, a gene gp encoding for LCMV-GP and no functional gene encoding for G-protein of the VSV, where in each vector of the system, one of the gene of n, l, p, m and gp is missing, and the missing gene is present in another vector of the vector system (2) a pseudotyped VSV-virion comprising a GP-protein of the LCMV as an envelope protein (3) a virus producer cell, which produces a pseudotyped VSV-virion and (4) transferring a transgene in a cell in vitro, comprising transducing the cell with a pseudotyped VSV virion, where the virion contains a transgene, or contacting the cell with a virus producer cell. ACTIVITY : Cytostatic. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
