According to the present invention, provided is the scrubber equipped with a diffraction plate for generating tornado bubbles, the scrubber comprising: a body (100) a gas inlet (10) which is formed in a lower portion of the body so that harmful gas can be introduced into the lower portion of the body a cleaning liquid (20) which is stored in the lower portion of the body and is circulated to an upper portion of the body a plurality of bubble diffraction plates (30) which are installed inside the body so as to allow bubbles to be generated when the harmful gas and a cleaning liquid come into contact with each other a demister (40) which is disposed in an upper portion so as to remove droplets (vapor) from an air current a circulation device which includes a pump (50) configured to circulate the cleaning liquid (20) and an outlet (60) through which purified gas is discharged wherein the bubble diffraction plate (30) includes a lower diffraction plate (31) and an upper diffraction plate (32), circular holes (35) are regularly arranged in the lower diffraction plate, cross-shaped holes (36) are regularly arranged in the upper diffraction plate, each of the cross-shaped holes (36) includes four sets of three sides (36a, 36b, 36c), and the four sides (36a) have a slope ranging from 30 to 60 degrees. Additionally, an arc (arc 35a) corresponding to a part or half of each of the circular holes (35) of the lower diffraction plate (31) is preferably formed to have a slope ranging from 30 to 60 degrees.
