PREVENTION AND TREATMENT OF BENIGN PROSTATIC HYPERPLASIA USING A SELECTIVE INHIBITOR OF THE PRODUCTION OF REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES OF MITOCHONDRIAL ORIGIN
The present invention relates to the prevention and / or treatment of diseases in which reactive oxygen species (or ROS) are involved of mitochondrial origin. It relates more particularly to the use of an inhibitor of the production of mitochondrial ROS, in particular of anethole trithione, for the prevention and / or the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia.La présente invention a trait à la prévention et/ou au traitement des maladies dans lesquelles sont impliquées les espèces réactives de l'oxygène (ou ROS) d'origine mitochondriale. Elle concerne plus particulièrement l'utilisation d'un inhibiteur de la production de ROS mitochondriale, en particulier de l'anéthole trithione, pour la prévention et/ou le traitement de l'hyperplasie bénigne de la prostate.
