PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety, reduce burden of a caretaker, and reduce compression of the chest of a care-receiver, while effectively using portability and low cost of a back-carrying type transfer assist apparatus.SOLUTION: A trunk support device for transfer assist includes: an upper-body holding plate 4 for supporting the upper body of a care-receiver a rotational device 2 that rotationally turns a swivel arm 3 the upper end of which is fitted to the upper-body holding plate 4, and varies an inclination angle of the upper-body holding plate 4 and lower abdominal region holding slings 5 that are fitted to lower sides of the upper-body holding plate 4 and hold the lower abdominal region of the care-receiver, with both sides of an iliac crest part defined as original points. When the upper-body plate 4 is pulled up by the rotational device 2, with the upper body supported by the upper-body support plate 4, the lower abdominal region holding slings 5 fitted to the lower sides hold the lower abdominal region of the care-receiver with both sides of the iliac crest part defined as original points, and can carry the care-receiver on the back with a pressure from the abdominal region side to the diaphragm lowered.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
