PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particle beam medical apparatus of rotating radiation type which detects the rotation of a stationary ring to control a moving bed to be maintained horizontally.
SOLUTION: The particle beam medical apparatus includes a frame 1 rotating about a treatment bed the stationary ring 13 rotatably supported by a guide ring on the inside of the frame 1, reversely rotated in synchronism with the rotation of the frame 1, and stationarily maintained relative to a fixing portion and a moving bed 14 supported by the stationary ring 13. When viewing the stationary ring 13 from the fixing portion side, the fixing portion is disposed with one or more photoelectric sensors for detecting the clockwise rotation of the stationary ring 13, and one or more photoelectric sensors for detecting the counterclockwise rotation of the stationary ring, and the surface of the stationary ring 13 opposed to the photoelectric sensors is provided with reflecting plates 20a-20d elongated in the rotation direction. The reflecting plates are each provided with a dead zone not detecting the rotation of the stationary ring 13 relative to the fixing portion by biasing a reflecting point 21 from the center to continue the reflection.
