The present invention relates to a novel water dispersible granular composition comprising triazophos as the active ingredient in an effective amount. Said novel water dispersible granular composition is used for wide spectrum control of insect pests delaying the pre- eminence of the resistant strains, minimizing the risk of development of resistance and achieving and economical control of undesired pets. The invention further relates to a process of preparing the water dispersible granular composition.
