PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modeling system for performing a medical procedure.SOLUTION: A medical procedure is simulated in an accurate dynamic manner by coupling a model of tissue dynamics to a patient specific scan image 14 for simulating surgery on a particular patient. Static/still medical images of the particular patient are converted into dynamic and interactive images by coupling tool characteristics to the patient specific scan image, to thereby interact with medical tools including medical devices.
