The present invention generally relates to silver complexes of formula (I) and (II), having high stability and showing antimicrobial activity. The invention also relies on compositions containing said photochemically stable silver complexes of formula (I) and (II), optionally admixed with at least another antimicrobial agent, thus enhancing their antimicrobic activity.La présente invention concerne de manière générale des complexes dargent de formules (I) et (II) ayant une grande stabilité et présentant une activité antimicrobienne. Linvention porte également sur des compositions contenant lesdits complexes dargent photochimiquement stables de formules (I) et (II), éventuellement mélangés avec au moins un autre agent antimicrobien de manière à renforcer leur activité antimicrobienne.
