To provide a combine harvester having a reaping head connected in a freely swingable and liftable manner to a side of a drivers seat of a traveling machine body and wherein the total length of the combine harvester in back and forth direction is minimized while avoiding interference between the reaping head and the drivers seat caused by the vertical motion of the reaping head.
SOLUTION: The combine harvester includes a pair of right and left vertical frames 42a and 42b directing in vertical direction of the traveling machine body and positioned at a front part of the drivers seat. In the vertical frames 42a, 42b and the head processor-side vertical frame positioned at a side of the reaping head 10 is positioned behind the traveling machine body relative to the vertical frame of a side opposite to the head processor which is positioned opposite to the reaping head 10. Parts 16c and 17c of the reaping head 10 are inserted into a part positioned at a side of the vertical frame 42b of the side opposite to the head processor in front of the vertical frame 42a at the side of the head processor when the reaping head 10 is lifted from the lowered working position.
