PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that appropriately corrects the attenuation of a signal in a subject information acquisition device using an acoustic wave detector.SOLUTION: A subject information acquisition device includes: a receiving part including a receiving element 105 for receiving an acoustic wave 102 transmitted from a subject and converting it to an electric signal processing part 111 for performing signal processing for the electric signal and a constitution part 114 for acquiring characteristic information in the subject using the electric signal output from the processing part.
