The absorbent body (100) has, in the planar direction thereof, a first region (15) in which a plurality of the fiber masses (11) is fused to each other and a second region (16) in which a plurality of the fiber masses (11) is entangled without being fused. The fiber masses (11) and absorbent fibers (12F) are also entangled with each other in at least the second region (16).
