Radish is one of the vegetables which has a pungent odor that makes insect deter. By formulating radish extract and used as botanical pesticide in watermelon is a great help in lowering the cost of inputs specially insecticide which contribute high cost during the production. This utility model aims to introduce the process in obtaining root radish extract as botanical pesticides in controlling pest in watermelon comprising the following steps (1) harvesting root radish at 50 days after transplanting,(2) washing the newly harvested root radish with clean water until all forms of dirt was removed,(3) Weighing two kilograms of washed root radish, (4) chopping the weighed root radish into lengthwise size to facilitate juice extraction, (5) extracting the juice of the root radish to be stored overnight.(6) diluting 300 ml of root radish extract into 16 liters water mixed with 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid, (7) applying the diluted root radish extract as botanical insecticide to watermelon through spraying.
