The garment sanitizer (100) comprises a humidifier (108) being arranged to increase and keep the ambient humidity inside the operating chamber during the sanitization a humidity sensor (102) being arranged to sense the current value of the ambient humidity inside the operating chamber a sanitization parameters storage module (116) being arranged to store at least an humidity increasing and keeping scheme therein and a controller (114) applied for regulating the ambient humidity inside said operating chamber according to the current value of the ambient humidity and said humidity increasing and keeping scheme.
