PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic blood pressure monitoring device capable of measuring a blood pressure using a cuff at appropriate timing corresponding to the actual risk of a living body.SOLUTION: In a blood pressure measurement activation means 64, blood pressure measurement by a blood pressure measuring means 50 is activated on the basis of a cardiac muscle oxygen consumption index value (heart rate and blood pressure value product RPP) calculated by a cardiac muscle oxygen consumption index value calculation means 62 and heart rate change information (&DeltaHR) calculated by a heart rate change information calculation means 58. Thus, the blood pressure measurement by the blood pressure measuring means 50 is activated under an activation condition corresponding to the actual risk of a living body state.
