The irrigation system for bonsais comprises a water tank (3), a pot (2) inside of which a substrate (31) for a bonsai is housed and irrigation means (5； 28) of the water in said tank (3) to said substrate (31), characterized in that the system comprises a moisture detector (29) arranged in said substrate (31), which detects the degree of moisture of the substrate (31) and determines the activation of said irrigation means (5； 28) when the degree of moisture of the substrate (31) is lower than a predetermined value.It allows for the irrigation and automatic and intelligent care specific to the cultivation of bonsais.
